Lariat

“Lariat” is a 5yr old, 15.3hh, QH gelding. Dressed in a dun coat, with a laid back, sweet, personality, this boy is beginner friendly, and super fun all around! Luckily I don’t have the space to keep all of the ones I love! Lariat is the best trail horse, fun in the ring, and does a little bit of everything! In the barn, Lariat has zero bad habits, he is very peaceful in his stall and asks for nothing. He can live in or out, and lives in a mixed herd with no drama. He stands on the cross ties to be groomed, bathed, tacked, and loves attention. Lariat is very gentle on the ground. He has good manners and can be worked with by kids and beginners. He is a very sweet soul who thrives off of attention and love. Lariat is good for the vet and farrier. He can go barefoot, and currently has fronts on. He is an easy keeper with no maintenance. Lariat is a little trail boss. He trail rides straight as an arrow and goes up, down, and through anything that you point him at. He is super fun to trail ride, and makes for a relaxing ride every time. He will lead the group through obstacles such as water, logs, rocks, deer, lakes, etc. He will also follow right along and doesn’t have to be up the next horses butt. Drop your reins, pack some beer and go explore!! Lariat will pack around your husband, kids, or guests! He would also make a quiet hunt mount for hill topping, or a slower hunt. He is safe with traffic, bikes, wildlife, dogs, etc, he is pretty unflappable!!! Lariat rides western, english, and bareback. He has uphill gaits, and he is a beautiful mover. Lariat is set up to go both english and western. He knows cues from both worlds! In the ring, Lariat will walk, trot, canter, and knows his leads. He is a push ride, but he is responsive, no crop or spurs needed. Lariat will travel around on the buckle, or collected. He is a super easy ride, he is not complicated at all. Lariat is beginner friendly, and has had kids on his back. Lariat knows how to pivot, side pass, move off of leg laterally, back up, started on neck reining, and you can ask for a big whoa, or bring him down the gaits slowly. All of his buttons are slow motion and amateur friendly. He is slow and gentle enough for a beginner yet me, as an advanced rider, I love riding him. He is very teachable and learns super fast! Lariat has been started over small fences and cross rails, he is honest and slow to fences. Lariat has been roped off of, he will chase a cow and drag a steer. He is a super versatile horse! I took Lariat to his first show. Got there late, unloaded in the rain and hurried to the ring. Around he went like he has been there a million times. He could have cared less about the screaming kids, tons of horses, tractors, fair commotion, he was SUCH a good boy. I had such a fun time showing him, it was so drama free and relaxing.  Here is a young, pretty, do it all, type of gelding that could go in absolutely any direction. Chase cows one day, throw your husband on for a trail ride the next, then go to a show and have fun. He would be great for obstacle courses, ranch trail classes, and such with his bravery. I could see him doing dressage with his beautiful floaty movement. The options are limitless!! And to top it off, he will take care of his rider, and do all of these things, while being SAFE. Here is your next all around partner, please don’t hesitate to reach out for any further information!!     Shipping can be arranged anywhere!!!
